Kimberly Porter is a Council for the Spanish Speaking, Inc. board member and serves on the Education Committee.  Kimberly received a B.A. in Sociology and Geography from Prairie View A&M University and an M.A. in Adult Education and Instructional Design from Alverno College. 

She is the Professional Development Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension.  Prior to joining the UW Cooperative Extension, Kimberly worked at Harambee Ombudsman Project, Inc. as a project manager and at Michigan State University as a DREAMS Scholar.  She serves on the Fulfilling the Promise Statewide Conference Planning committee and on the UW Cooperative Extension Strategic Planning and Quad Counties Think Tank committee.  Kimberly volunteers with the United Negro College Fund and as an Alverno College Social Interaction Assessor.  Kimberly is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and is the 2008 recipient of the University of Wisconsin System’s Outstanding Women of Color in Education award.  She is married and hasa 6 year old son.
